How does being a member of the CHBA Central Interior benefit me?

Who are CHBA members?
Licensed Builders, Renovators, Developers
Trade contractors including plumbers, electricians, drywallers, carpenters (and the list goes on),
Suppliers from building supply chains and other individual local companies
Financial institutions such as banks, credit unions, mortgage providers, and warranty providers
Governments and Associations
Service and professional groups including designers, lawyers, accountants, realtors, marketing companies, media people and more
Any company with an interest in promoting or doing business with the residential construction industry in the Central Interior of B.C.
How do I join CHBA CI?
Call the office at 250-828-1844 and request a membership information package.
Become a member
When are applications for membership approved?
Prior to the monthly Board of Directors meeting, all applications for membership are submitted to the general membership. Then, at the CHBA CI Board of Directors meeting, applications are reviewed and the Board votes to accept new members. At the next scheduled dinner meeting, new member are ratified.
What are the requirements for membership in CHBA CI?
All applicants are required to submit a completed application form.
Applicants must also agree to abide by CHBA CI’s Code of Ethics.
Builders and renovators must have three (3) CHBA member references. Where applicable, BC Housing and third-party warranty information must also be submitted. Space to provide referees' contact information is found in the application form.

What does CHBA CI do?
CHBA CI is the voice of the residential construction industry in the Interior if BC. We provide our members with industry representation at all levels of government and media, as well as education and promotion opportunities. See

When are the dinner meetings held?
Dinner Meetings take place January, February, March, April, May, June, September, October, and November. It usually is at the second Wednesday of the month. Members can sponsor a dinner meeting to promote their products or services. We normally have a featured speaker and are an excellent opportunity to network with peers and industry leaders, as well as keep up to date with residential construction issues.
Can non-members attend dinner meetings?
Non-members can attend a dinner meeting
as a guest with a member of CHBA CI or if invited by the Board of Directors.
